I have used the ‘Four Treasures’ namely ink stick, ink stone, brush and rice paper in a traditional way.
I prepare all the colors myself, ink as well as oil. By doing so, I try to bridge the gap between my Korean roots and the influence of European culture.
A long way from my native country, yet not completely at home in the West, I am able to find myself through and within my artistic work.
